Little Monsters

Little Monsters is a horror comedy set during a kindergarten outing that turns into a zombie outbreak. Dave, a washed-up musician drifting through life and staying with his sister, volunteers to help chaperone his nephew Felix's class trip mainly because he is interested in the teacher, Miss Caroline. At the amusement park where the group spends the day, a children's entertainer named Teddy McGiggle is also performing, and he competes with Dave for Caroline's attention. Their rivalry is interrupted when zombies suddenly overrun the park. Caroline, Dave and Teddy must then keep the young children safe, with Caroline steering the class through the chaos by treating the danger as an elaborate game so the kids are not frightened by what they see.

Abe Forsythe wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Bruna Papandrea, Keith Calder and Steve Hutensky as a co-production between Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Lupita Nyong'o plays Miss Caroline, Alexander England plays Dave, and Josh Gad plays Teddy McGiggle, with Diesel La Torraca, Kat Stewart and Nadia Townsend also in the cast. The film runs 94 minutes.

Little Monsters was released in 2019. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from around 21,000 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 6.5 from roughly 769 votes. A film critics' rating of 6.7 from 132 reviews places it somewhat above both audience scores.
