Feminists: What Were They Thinking?

This documentary examines a 1977 book of photography that captured women rejecting the societal limitations of their youth to embrace their full humanity. By revisiting those images and the women involved, the film explores the feminist movement of the 1970s and argues that modern culture still requires significant change.

Directed by Johanna Demetrakas, the film follows her earlier work, Womanhouse, which was released in 1974.
