Murder Mystery

Murder Mystery is a 2019 action comedy mystery directed by Kyle Newacheck. It follows Nick Spitz, a New York City police officer, and his wife Audrey, a hairdresser, who finally take a long-promised vacation to Europe. During the trip they meet the wealthy Charles Cavendish, who invites them aboard the yacht of an elderly billionaire, Malcolm Quince. The film stars Adam Sandler as Nick and Jennifer Aniston as Audrey, with Luke Evans, Terence Stamp, Gemma Arterton and David Walliams among the supporting cast. It was written by James Vanderbilt, who also produced alongside Sandler and A.J. Dix. It was Newacheck's second feature as director, following Game Over, Man! in 2018, and precedes Happy Gilmore 2 in 2025.

Made for around 24 million dollars, the film drew a broad audience, with roughly 189,000 votes on IMDb giving it an average of 6.1 out of 10, while about 4,900 votes on TMDB average 6.3 out of 10. A film critics' rating of 4.7 out of 10 from 69 reviews sits below those viewer scores.
