Driven

Driven is a crime thriller set in California in the early 1980s, built around the unlikely friendship between Jim Hoffman, a former pilot and ex-convict working as an FBI informant, and John DeLorean, the automobile designer behind the DeLorean Motor Company. Hoffman, who has been caught trafficking cocaine and agrees to cooperate with the Bureau in exchange for his freedom, becomes the informant at the centre of the operation. As DeLorean's business fortunes falter, the FBI uses Hoffman to draw the designer into a sting involving drug money. Lee Pace plays DeLorean and Jason Sudeikis plays Hoffman, with Judy Greer as Ellen Hoffman, Corey Stoll as Special Agent Benedict Tisa, Isabel Arraiza as Cristina DeLorean and Michael Cudlitz as Morgan Hetrick. The screenplay is by Colin Bateman, and the film is directed by Nick Hamm, released between The Journey and Gigi & Nate in a directing career that began with The Hole in 2001.

The film runs 113 minutes and was produced across the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and the United States by Embankment Films, Pimienta, Romulus Entertainment and Tempo Productions, with Piers Tempest, René Besson and Luillo Ruiz producing. It drew a 6.4 rating from around 9,200 votes on IMDb and a 6.2 from roughly 264 votes on TMDB, while a critics' score of 5.9 from 52 reviews sits a little below both audience figures.
