A group of couples travels to a remote island for a marriage counseling retreat, hoping to repair their relationships under the guidance of group leader Will, who has troubles of his own at home. Their work on communication and trust is cut short when a six-headed shark appears in the surrounding waters and begins attacking the beach. Trapped with only limited weapons, the participants try to drive the creature off and quickly learn that neither the sea nor the island itself offers safety.
Mark Atkins directed the film and wrote the screenplay with Koichi Petetsky, and it sits between Road Wars (2015) and Road Wars: Max Fury (2024) in Atkins's directing credits. David Michael Latt produced for The Asylum, and the cast includes Brandon Auret, Thandi Sebe, Cord Newman, Naima Sebe, Tapiwa Musvosvi and Meghan Oberholzer. Released in 2018, the 89-minute action horror production belongs to a line of creature features built around increasingly improbable shark antagonists.
Audience response has been weak. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 2.8 from around 1,800 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 4.6 from roughly 95 votes. Both figures point to a release that drew little enthusiasm even by the standards of low-budget television monster movies.
