Corporate Animals

Lucy runs a company that makes edible cutlery, and she presents herself as a leader who cares about the environment and her employees. In practice she is self-absorbed and driven by profit, and her staff have long suffered under her. To improve morale she takes them on a corporate team-building weekend of cave exploration in New Mexico, joined by a guide. When disaster strikes underground, the group is trapped and cut off, and the mismatched, resentful colleagues have to work together if they are going to get out.

Corporate Animals is a comedy with horror elements, released in 2019 and running 86 minutes. Patrick Brice directed it, working from a screenplay by Sam Bain, with Ed Helms among the producers. It sits between Brice's Creep 2 and There's Someone Inside Your House in the five features he has directed. Demi Moore plays Lucy, and the cast includes Jessica Williams, Ed Helms, Karan Soni, Dan Bakkedahl and Isiah Whitlock Jr., with 24 credited cast members in all.

The film drew weak numbers from audiences and critics alike. It holds 4.5 out of 10 on IMDb from around 4,500 votes and 4.8 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 150 votes, while its critics' rating stands at 4.2 out of 10 from 51 reviews, so viewers and reviewers landed close together.
