Rim of the World

Four teenagers with little in common find themselves stuck at a summer camp when an alien invasion strikes the planet. Cut off from the adults around them, Alex, ZhenZhen, Dariush and Gabriel end up at the centre of the attack and become the unlikely group left to act. To stand any chance against the invaders, they have to get past their own fears and insecurities and learn to work together.

Rim of the World is a science fiction adventure directed by McG, working from a screenplay by Zack Stentz. It sits between The Babysitter and The Babysitter: Killer Queen in a filmography that also includes Charlie's Angels, Terminator Salvation and 3 Days to Kill, and McG produced it alongside Mary Viola and Matt Smith through Wonderland Sound and Vision. Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr. and Alessio Scalzotto play the four leads, with Andrew Bachelor and Annabeth Gish among the supporting cast.

The film was released in 2019 and runs 99 minutes. Its ratings are modest and consistent across audiences: on IMDb it holds 5.3 out of 10 from around 27,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 6 out of 10 from roughly a thousand votes. A critics' score of 4 out of 10 from 13 reviews places it below even the mixed audience response.
