21 Bridges

21 Bridges follows an NYPD detective, Andre Davis, who is assigned to track down two men who shot a number of police officers during a robbery in Manhattan. As the hunt continues through a single night, he begins to suspect that a larger conspiracy is at work, and it becomes unclear who is pursuing whom. To keep the suspects from escaping, the authorities take the unprecedented step of shutting every bridge connecting Manhattan to the rest of the city, sealing off the island.

Chadwick Boseman plays Davis, with Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, Stephan James, Taylor Kitsch and Keith David among the supporting cast. Brian Kirk directed from a screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan and Adam Mervis; Anthony and Joe Russo are among the producers. The film was Kirk's first feature as director, followed by Dead of Winter in 2025.

Released in 2019, the crime drama runs 100 minutes and was made for a budget of 33 million dollars, going on to take about 50 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds a 6.7 rating from roughly 80,000 votes, and on TMDB a 6.8 from more than 2,200 votes. A critics' score of 5.5 from 139 reviews places it below the audience averages.
