Invisible Life

Set in Rio de Janeiro in 1950, this drama follows two close sisters, Eurídice and Guida, who grow up in a conservative household. While Eurídice aspires to become a professional pianist, Guida seeks romantic fulfillment and freedom. Their differing paths and personal choices eventually lead their father to force a long separation between them. Despite being kept apart and facing obstacles in their communication, the sisters continue to hope for a future reunion.

The film was directed by Karim Aïnouz, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Inés Bortagaray and Murilo Hauser. This production marks the third film in the director's chronological career, following Rifa-me and Venice 70: Future Reloaded. The cast features Carol Duarte and Julia Stockler as the sisters, with Fernanda Montenegro appearing as the older Eurídice. The production involved a collaboration between companies from Brazil and Germany, including RT Features and Sony Pictures Entertainment Brazil.
