Prison on Fire II

Set in a Hong Kong prison, this crime drama follows a prisoner named Ching who tries to avoid conflict as his release date approaches. He becomes entangled in a volatile struggle between different inmate factions and a vengeful security chief. After attempting to visit his son in an orphanage, Ching is framed by prison authorities, forcing him to flee alongside another inmate.

Directed by Ringo Lam, this film is the fourth in a chronological sequence of his works, following Prison on Fire, City on Fire, and School on Fire. The movie features a cast of 20 credited actors, led by Chow Yun-fat in the role of Chung Tin Ching and Chan Chung-Yung as Pong Fei Lung.

Produced by Cinema City Co., Ltd. and Golden Princess Film Production Limited, the film earned 3 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is positive, with a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDb based on 1,600 votes and a score of 6.8/10 on TMDB from 52 votes.
