A young boy named Cody accompanies his mother, Kathy, to a town where they must clean out the home of Kathy's late sister. While his mother deals with the estate and reflects on her relationship with her sibling, the shy eight-year-old struggles to connect with other children in the area. This isolation ends when Cody forms an unlikely bond with Del, an elderly widower and veteran who lives next door. Together, the mother and son gradually find a sense of belonging in the unfamiliar environment.
This drama was directed by Andrew Ahn and represents the first of three films listed in his career, preceding Fire Island and The Wedding Banquet.
