Land Raiders is a 1969 American Western set in Arizona around the time it became a state. Vince Carden is a ruthless, power-hungry rancher who despises the Apaches living on the land he covets. He wants to drive them out and grab their territory cheaply, and he is willing to provoke a war to do it, even arranging the murder of a government official and placing the blame on the tribe. His younger brother Paul, who left the family ranch after a bitter falling-out over a woman, returns after two years away and finds himself standing against Vince's plans. Paul works to stop the killing and prevent the wider conflict his brother is trying to ignite.
The film was directed by Nathan H. Juran, whose career had moved through fantasy and science fiction productions such as 20 Million Miles to Earth, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and First Men in the Moon before this, the sixth title in the chronological list of his features. Ken Pettus wrote the screenplay, and Roy Rowland produced for Columbia Pictures and Morningside Productions. Telly Savalas plays Vince, with George Maharis as Paul, and Arlene Dahl, Janet Landgard, Guy Rolfe and George Coulouris in supporting roles. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.4 from roughly 510 votes, indicating a modest and largely unenthusiastic response.
