Set in 1961, this romantic drama follows Emil, a young man working as a background actor at the Babelsberg film studios. He falls in love with Milou, a French dancer, but their relationship is cut short when the construction of the Berlin Wall separates them. To overcome this obstacle and reunite with her, Emil devises a daring plan involving the creation of a film.
