Samurai Wolf II follows the wandering samurai Kiba Okaminosuke, who becomes involved with a group of prisoners being escorted to their executions. Among the captives is a man named Magobei, whose striking resemblance to Kiba's deceased father leads Kiba to trust him. This connection leaves Kiba conflicted between his personal honor and his feelings for the man, especially as Magobei reveals a ruthless nature and plans regarding a gold mine. The journey is further complicated by dishonest miners, a mentally unstable young woman, and a dojo master determined to kill Kiba to prove the superiority of his own sword style.
