Set in Monterrey, Mexico, this drama follows Ulises, a seventeen-year-old who leads a group of friends dedicated to parties and dancing to slowed-down cumbia. After a misunderstanding with a local cartel, Ulises is forced to flee to the United States to save his life. While attempting to adapt to his new environment, he struggles with loneliness and a strong desire to return to his family and friends in Mexico.
The film was directed and written by Luis Fernando Frías de la Parra, marking his second feature following Rezeta. It stars Juan Daniel Garcia Treviño as Ulises Sampiero, alongside Jonathan Espinoza, Xueming Angelina Chen, Bianca Coral Puente Valenzuela, Tania Alvarado, and Fanny Tovar. The production involved companies from Mexico and the United States, including PPW Films and Panorama Global, and featured a credited cast of 24 people.
