Fierce Town

Set in the 13th century, the story follows the inhabitants of the small town of Kozelsk as they face the Mongolian army led by Batu Khan. While the empire had conquered vast territories from China to the Mediterranean, this particular town resisted their rule. After being initially bypassed, the settlement becomes the target of a grudge held by one of the Khan's commanders. The residents must defend their walls against an overwhelming force in a struggle for survival that results in heavy losses for the attackers and a brutal conclusion for the town.

This historical drama was directed by Konstantin Buslov, following his 2020 film Kalashnikov AK-47. Written by Vadim Golovanov and produced by Konstantin Buslov and Sergey Perepechko, the production involved Cinema Fund, Kinoprime Foundation, and Film company 22.
