After Yang

After Yang is set in a near future where households commonly rely on domestic androids called techno-sapiens. Jake and Kyra, who adopted their daughter Mika from China, bought one such android, Yang, to help the girl settle into her new life and keep a connection to her heritage. Yang became Mika's companion and friend. When he malfunctions, Jake puts his life on hold and sets out to have him repaired, a search that turns out to be harder than expected and leads him to examine his own relationships.
