The Reckoning

Set in England during the Great Plague of 1665, this drama and horror film follows a young widow mourning her husband in a society gripped by death and superstition. After she rejects the romantic advances of her landlord, the man falsely accuses her of witchcraft and conspiracy with the devil. Incarcerated and separated from her child, she is subjected to torture by a ruthless inquisitor while battling psychological torment as the devil begins to influence her mind.
