Of Love and Lies

Theo is a talented twelve-year-old soccer player who is deeply concerned about his father, Laurent. Following a divorce and a struggle with alcohol, Laurent has become a lonely and disillusioned man. When a scout from a prestigious British club shows interest in Theo, the boy sees a chance to restore his father's happiness. However, after failing to make the team, Theo tells his father that he was selected. This deception motivates Laurent to rediscover his purpose in life as he helps his son prepare for the opportunity, but the lie eventually grows beyond Theo's control.
