Freedom is a Big Word

Freedom is a Big Word is a documentary about Muhammad Abdallah, who is relocated to Uruguay after spending thirteen years in Guantanamo. The film follows his attempt to build a new life and adapt to his surroundings after being granted his freedom in an unfamiliar country.

The film was directed and written by Guillermo Rocamora and produced by Diego Robino and Santiago López Rodríguez through Primo Filmes and Oriental Features. It is a co-production between Brazil and Uruguay. Muhammad Abdallah appears as himself in the production, which has a total runtime of 71 minutes. The film was released on November 17, 2018.
