Three brothers share a home with their father and compete for his approval, a rivalry that spills into their love lives. The eldest, Moon, is married to Ching, who has thrown herself so completely into running the household that she neglects her own appearance. His brother So insists he is straight despite the way he behaves, and clashes constantly with the aunt who lives with the family and spends her days in front of the television. The youngest, Foon, works as a DJ and moves from one girlfriend to the next until he meets Holiyok, a young woman obsessed with Hollywood movies who falls hard for him. Their schemes, fibs and romantic mishaps eventually teach the brothers something about how easily love can be won and lost.
Clifton Ko Chi-Sum directed the film, following a run of comedies that included The Happy Ghost, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World II and The Banquet. He shares producing duties with Raymond Wong, who also plays Moon, and the screenplay is credited to Roman Cheung Shiu-Lun, Tessa Choy Ting-Ting and Vincent Kok. The cast pairs Stephen Chow as Foon with Leslie Cheung as So, alongside Sandra Ng Kwan-Yue, Maggie Cheung and Teresa Mo, among 23 credited performers.
Released in Hong Kong in January 1992 and running 100 minutes, the comedy holds a 7.2 rating on IMDb from roughly 2,900 votes and a 7.1 on TMDB from a much smaller sample of 97. The two scores sit close together, suggesting a consistent response from viewers.
