Aquaslash

Aquaslash is a Canadian-French horror comedy set in a summer water park called Wet Valley, where a group of teenagers from Valley Hills High School gather to celebrate the end of the school year. The party takes a dark turn when a mysterious figure begins killing the guests, turning the park into the scene of a violent massacre. The film blends slasher conventions with comedic elements, as suspicion falls on everyone present.

Directed and written by Renaud Gauthier, Aquaslash runs just 72 minutes and was released in 2019. The cast includes Nicolas Fontaine, Brittany Drisdelle, Madeline Harvey, Paul Zinno, Nick Walker and Chip Chuipka. It was produced by Benoit Beaulieu, Albert I. Melamed and Philip Kalin-Hajdu, with a credited crew of 45.

Audience reactions have been poor: on IMDb the film holds a rating of 3.6 out of 10 from around 3,900 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 3.9 out of 10 from 198 votes. A critics' rating of 3.9 out of 10 from seven reviews places critical and audience responses at roughly the same level.
