Short description
The Fire Inside is a historical drama centered on Claressa Shields, a high school student from Flint, Michigan. With the guidance of her disciplined coach, Jason Crutchfield, she strives to overcome various obstacles to become the first American woman to earn an Olympic gold medal in boxing. Despite reaching this height of athletic success, she discovers that achieving her goals is only the start of a more complex struggle.

What's left behind the scenes
- Ice Cube was initially invited to play the role of Jason, the main character's partner on set. This was in 2020. A year later, he refused to get a coronavirus vaccine and subsequently left the project. Brian Tyree Henry was cast in the role instead.
