Inspector Amaia Salazar returns to the Baztan valley in northern Spain to investigate a series of suicides that share a disturbing pattern. While balancing the challenges of new motherhood, she discovers that these deaths are linked to previous crimes and her own family history. The investigation forces her to confront past dangers she believed were gone, specifically involving prisoners who left a single mysterious word behind before dying.
This crime thriller was directed by Fernando González Molina and follows his 2017 film The Invisible Guardian.
