Love Wedding Repeat

Jack, the brother of the bride, wants his sister Hayley's wedding to go off without a hitch. Instead, he has to deal with several complications at once: an ex-girlfriend who is still angry with him, a guest who was never invited and is hiding something, a sleeping pill that ends up where it should not be, and Dina, the woman he once let get away. The day plays out in more than one version, with the same wedding unfolding differently each time and Jack trying to steer events toward a better outcome. The film is a remake of the French comedy Plan de Table.

Dean Craig directed and wrote the screenplay; Love Wedding Repeat is the first of the three features he has directed, followed by The Estate and The Honeymoon. Sam Claflin plays Jack, with Olivia Munn as Dina, Eleanor Tomlinson as Hayley, Freida Pinto as Amanda, Joel Fry as Bryan and Jack Farthing as Marc. Piers Tempest and Guglielmo Marchetti produced the British-Italian production, which runs 100 minutes.

Released in April 2020, the film received modest audience scores: 5.6 out of 10 on IMDb from around 23,000 votes and 5.7 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 730 votes. These figures point to a mixed response rather than a strong one, with viewers roughly divided and the much larger IMDb sample reflecting a similar average to the smaller TMDB group.
