Red Rover

A lonely geologist believes he has no reason to stay on Earth and seeks a spot on a one-way trip to Mars. He attempts to qualify for the expedition with the assistance of an unconventional musician who shares his sense of displacement. This Canadian comedy and romance focuses on the bond between these two disconnected individuals.

The film was directed by Shane Belcourt, who also served as a producer and co-writer alongside Duane Murray. It was the first of three films directed by Belcourt, followed by Warrior Strong and Ni-Naadamaadamaadiz: Red Power Rising. The cast features Kristian Bruun as Damon and Cara Gee as Phoebe, with supporting roles played by Meghan Heffern, Anna Hopkins, Morgan David Jones, and Joshua Peace.
