Tall Girl

Jodi Kreyman is the tallest student at her high school, and her height has made her self-conscious for years. She has spent a long time slouching, enduring other people's comments and staying out of the way, until she decides to stop hiding and face school life on her own terms. Her changed outlook plays out among friends and classmates, and a romance develops alongside it.

Tall Girl is a 2019 American comedy, drama and romance directed by Nzingha Stewart and written by Sam Wolfson. It runs 101 minutes and was produced by McG, Mary Viola and Corey L. Marsh through Wonderland Sound and Vision. Ava Michelle plays Jodi, with Sabrina Carpenter as her sister Harper, Steve Zahn as their father Richie, Griffin Gluck as Jack Dunkleman, Clara Wilsey as Kimmy Sticher and Paris Berelc as Liz among the 42 credited cast members.

The film received a critics' rating of 5.4 out of 10 from 12 reviews, in line with its audience scores: 5.2 out of 10 on IMDb from around 30,000 votes and 6.3 out of 10 on TMDB from just under 2,000 votes. Those figures point to a modestly received release with a larger and more critical sample on IMDb than on TMDB.
