A heartbroken woman named Zhenya uses a powerful and irreversible black magic ritual known as the Black Wedding to reclaim her husband, Kir, after he abandons her. While the spell successfully brings Kir back, his affection transforms into a dangerous and possessive obsession. Zhenya soon discovers that the supernatural bond created by the ritual is so absolute that it persists even after death.
Directed by Svyatoslav Podgaevsky, this film followed his 2020 project Baba Yaga: Terror of the Dark Forest. Podgaevsky also served as a producer and co-writer alongside Ivan Kapitonov and Nataliya Dubovaya. The cast features Yana Enzhaeva and Konstantin Beloshapka in the lead roles, supported by Ilya Ermolov, Nikita Yuranov, Varvara Borodina, and Sabina Akhmedova.
Produced by companies including Cinema Fund and Central Partnership in Russia and the United States, the movie had a budget of 60 million USD. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 4.7/10 on IMDb based on 1,400 votes, while it holds a higher score of 6.6/10 on TMDB from 192 votes.
