The Addams Family 2

The Addams family is growing apart. Gomez and Morticia notice that Wednesday and Pugsley are skipping family dinners and spending their time absorbed in screens, so they decide to reconnect the household the only way they know how: by packing everyone into a haunted camper and setting off on a road trip. Uncle Fester, Cousin Itt and a cast of strange new characters come along, and the journey brings the clan into contact with a series of unsuspecting people. What begins as an attempt to restore family ties turns into a long, chaotic voyage.

The 2021 animated sequel was directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, both of whom had already worked together on The Addams Family two years earlier. Vernon's earlier directing credits include Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and Sausage Party. The voice cast features Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Charlize Theron as Morticia, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Javon Walton as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester and Snoop Dogg as Cousin Itt.

The film took about 120 million dollars worldwide, a solid return for an animated family release. Audiences are split: on TMDB it holds 6.9 out of 10 from a modest number of votes, while on IMDb it sits at 5.4 from roughly 18,000 votes. A film critics' rating of 4.6 out of 10 from 111 reviews places professional opinion below both audience scores.
