Directed by Georg Riha, this 2002 Austrian production was the first of two listed films in the director's career, preceding Über Österreich – Eine höhere Sicht. The project was produced by Georg Riha and Suzanne Biermann, with a screenplay written by Kroenes, Riha, and Weigensamer. Sir Peter Ustinov appears as the presenter, guiding the viewer through the locations. The film features Miguel Herz-Kestranek as the narrator for the German version and John Shrapnel as the narrator for the English version. Originally broadcast as part of the ORF-UNIVERSUM series, the film was released to mark the 250th anniversary of the Schönbrunn Zoo.
