Longshot

A fitness trainer named Jack Taylor and his younger brother Alex live in Los Angeles. After Jack has an affair with the wife of Laszlo Price, an influential businessman, Price blackmails him. Jack is forced to travel to New York with Alex to obtain secret business information from Rachel Montgomery regarding the sale of her company. During the trip, Jack and Rachel fall in love, while Alex develops feelings for Rachel's daughter, Kelly. Eventually, Jack confesses the truth to Rachel, and they collaborate to have Price arrested. To prevent the sale of her company, Rachel requires two million dollars, a sum Alex wins during a basketball game contest.

The film was directed by Lionel C. Martin, who previously directed How to Be a Player in 1997. The cast features Tony DeCamillis, Hunter Tylo, Joey Sculthorpe, Paul Sorvino, Antonio Sabàto Jr., and Jessica Wesson, with a total of 34 credited performers. Produced by Lou Pearlman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Tony DeCamillis, the movie had a budget of 20 million USD. Audience reception was poor, as reflected by a 2.6/10 rating on IMDb based on 1,200 votes.
