Ramayana: Rise of a Legend

Upcoming as an action fantasy drama, Ramayana focuses on the early life of a young prince and princess. After their marriage, the couple is sent into exile, beginning a journey defined by their sense of duty and the challenges of their destiny. This story serves as the first installment of a two-part series.

The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Shridhar Raghavan. It follows his previous works, including Chillar Party, Dangal, Chhichhore, and Bawaal, and precedes the planned second part of this story. The production is a collaboration between companies from India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including DNEG Animation and Sanskriti Films.

The cast features Ranbir Kapoor in the roles of Ram, Parshuram, and Vishnu, with Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Other appearing actors include Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Arun Govil as Dashratha, and Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha. The production involved 110 credited crew members and 44 credited cast members. With a budget of 230 million USD and a runtime of 229 minutes, the film is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026.
