Mexican general Maximilian Rodrigues De Santos, known as Max, is stung when his girlfriend doubts the loyalty of his men. To prove his worth, he leads a small group of soldiers across the border into Texas and seizes the Alamo. The stunt outrages the Texans, and the National Guard is sent to take the historic site back. The recapture is complicated by the Mexican troops having left their ammunition behind in Mexico, while the State Department insists that no one be killed, so the Guard advances with unloaded weapons as well.
