Impossible Things

Following the passing of her abusive husband, a woman named Matilde forms an unexpected bond with Miguel. Her neighbor is a young, disoriented man who struggles with insecurity and is involved in selling drugs. The drama explores the friendship that develops between these two people as they navigate their lives in Mexico.

Directed by Ernesto Contreras, the film followed his 2014 work The Obscure Spring and preceded Where the Tracks End and Dad or Mom, both released in 2023. The screenplay was written by Estéfani Enríquez Soto. The main cast features Nora Velázquez in the role of Matilde and Benny Emmanuel as Miguel, supported by Luisa Huertas, Salvador Garcini, Andrés Delgado, and Gabriela Cartol.
