Peace by Chocolate

Based on a true story, this Canadian comedy drama follows a young Syrian refugee who moves to a small town in Nova Scotia. After his father's chocolate factory was destroyed by bombing, the protagonist struggles to integrate into his new environment. He finds himself torn between pursuing his own personal ambitions and honoring his family's history of chocolate making.

The film was directed by Jonathan Keijser, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Abdul Malik and served as a producer alongside Catherine Léger and Martin Paul-Hus. The main cast features Hatem Ali as Issam, Ayham Abou Ammar as Tareq, and Yara Sabri as Shahnaz, supported by Mark Camacho, Najlaa Al Khamri, and Kathryn Kirkpatrick. In total, 29 actors are credited in the production.
