A government missile-guidance system falls into the hands of a thirteen-year-old boy, and a criminal organization will stop at nothing to get it back. Texas Ranger Cordell Walker is drawn into protecting the teenager, while another case pulls him in a different direction: a fellow ranger has been implicated in the killing of a woman found at a bar. Walker sets out to clear his colleague's name and uncover what really happened.
The film is a continuation of the long-running television series that starred Chuck Norris as Walker, with Sheree J. Wilson returning as Alex Cahill, now his wife. Norris's brother Aaron Norris directed, as he had many episodes of the series; his feature directing credits stretch back to the late 1980s and include Braddock: Missing in Action III, Delta Force 2, Sidekicks, Hellbound and Top Dog, with this film arriving in 2005. Judson Mills and Andre Kristoff appear as Rangers Gage and Harper, while Clarence Gilyard Jr. returns as Ranger Trivette and Bret Loehr plays the boy at the centre of the weapons case. The screenplay is credited to Paul Haggis, Albert S. Ruddy and Christopher Canaan.
Released as a television movie, it runs eighty-six minutes. Its IMDb rating of 5.4 from around 1,900 voters is modest, while on TMDB it holds 6.4 from a smaller group of seventy-three ratings.
