During the final days of World War II, a small unit of Soviet soldiers is tasked with transporting the remains of Adolf Hitler from Berlin back to Stalin in Moscow. Led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva, the group attempts to move their cargo across Poland while keeping it hidden from others. As they travel, they are targeted by German partisans who seek to prevent the remains from reaching their destination. The unit faces repeated ambushes that gradually reduce their numbers, leading to a desperate struggle to protect the secret they carry.
