Between Us

A Colombian woman named Mariana arrives in New York City with her two small children to reunite with her husband. After a period of tension, her husband leaves for another city for work, but he eventually disappears and cuts off all contact. Left alone in a foreign country, Mariana must find a way to support herself and her children while surviving on the difficult streets of the city.

This independent drama was co-written and co-directed by Paola Mendoza and Gloria La Morte. Mendoza also stars in the lead role as Mariana, appearing alongside Sebastian Villada, Laura Montana, Anthony Chisholm, Andres Munar, and Sarita Choudhury. The film was a joint production between companies from Colombia and the United States.
