Dominik Santorski attends an elite school in Warsaw and is about to graduate. He has money, gadgets and a social life, but when a drunken kiss with a classmate is caught on video and spreads, he is humiliated in front of the whole school and his sexuality becomes public against his will. The girl who had shown interest in him turns away, his busy parents cannot cope with what is happening, and he withdraws from school and from the people around him. He finds refuge in an online community known as the suicide room, where a pink-haired user named Sylwia appears to understand him better than anyone. Rather than pulling him back into his life, she draws him further into the virtual world.
Jan Komasa wrote and directed this Polish production, his first feature, and it was followed in his filmography by Warsaw 44, Corpus Christi, The Hater, Anniversary and Good Boy. Jakub Gierszał plays Dominik, with Roma Gąsiorowska as Sylwia, Agata Kulesza and Krzysztof Pieczyński as his parents, and Rafał Fudalej and Karolina Kominek among the voice cast. Made for about 1 million USD, it took roughly 5 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.6/10 from 13,000 votes, while on TMDB it holds 7.2/10 from 494 votes.
