Barrio Cuba

Set in a neighborhood in Havana, this drama tracks the emotional lives of three different households over several years. Magalis, a nurse, struggles with her happiness while dealing with an older man's affections, family conflicts regarding her brother's sexual orientation, and her own desire to emigrate. Meanwhile, a tragedy leads Santo to abandon his family for a life of crime and alcohol, leaving his son to be raised by an aunt. In a third home, Vivian and Chino face a strained relationship caused by societal pressure to have children.
