A traumatized former Marine returns to New York and takes a job as a doorman at a luxury apartment building, hoping for a quiet life. Her plans change when a group of art thieves targets the valuables hidden inside the building, and she finds herself the main obstacle between the criminals and their prize. As the thieves grow more violent, she draws on her combat training to protect the residents, including a family she has grown close to. Jean Reno plays the thieves' leader, Dubois, with Aksel Hennie, Rupert Evans, Julian Feder and David Sakurai among the supporting cast; Ruby Rose stars as Ali.
The film is directed by Ryûhei Kitamura, the eleventh of the thirteen features he has directed in chronological order, arriving between Nightmare Cinema and The Price We Pay. It was written by Joe Swanson, Lior Chefetz and Devon Rose, and produced across the United Kingdom, Canada, Romania and the United States.
On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 4.7 out of 10 from around 9,100 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.8 out of 10 from roughly 479 votes. A critics' rating of 4.2 out of 10 from 29 reviews places it below both audience scores, though the two audience ratings differ noticeably from one another.
