Lovely Molly follows Molly, a newlywed who moves with her husband Tim into the rural house she inherited from her late father. As the couple settles in, painful memories from Molly's childhood resurface, and strange disturbances at night begin to unsettle them both. When Tim leaves for work, Molly is left alone in the house, and her grip on day-to-day life starts to slip. Friends and family notice her increasingly erratic behaviour, but their attempts to help only push her further into isolation. Eduardo Sánchez directed and co-wrote the film with Jamie Nash, and Gregg Hale produced it for Haxan Films and Amber Entertainment. It was made for around 1 million USD.
Released in 2011, the film sits between Altered and V/H/S/2 in Sánchez's directing credits, which also include The Blair Witch Project and its companion Curse of the Blair Witch. Gretchen Lodge plays Molly, with Johnny Lewis as Tim, Alexandra Holden as Hannah, Ken Arnold as Samuels and Brenna McDonough as Suzie.
Audience response has been modest: on IMDb the film holds 5.3/10 from roughly 10,000 votes, and on TMDB it has 5.1/10 from about 251 votes. A critics' rating of 5.3/10 from 37 reviews places it in similar territory to the audience scores.
