Short description
Allison is a young woman whose life comes apart after she is involved in a fatal accident. Years later, she forms an unlikely relationship with Daniel, the father of her former fiancé, who is raising his teenage granddaughter on his own. Their friendship grows out of shared grief and becomes a path toward forgiveness and the possibility of moving forward.
Zach Braff wrote and directed the film, his fourth feature after Garden State, Wish I Was Here and Going in Style. Florence Pugh plays Allison, with Morgan Freeman as Daniel. The supporting cast includes Molly Shannon, Celeste O'Connor, Chinaza Uche and Zoe Lister-Jones. Christine Vachon, Pamela Koffler and Braff produced through Killer Films, with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Elevation Pictures and RocketScience among the production companies.
Released in March 2023, the film runs 128 minutes and was made in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Its worldwide box office came to about 3 million dollars. On IMDb it holds a 7.1 rating from roughly 29,000 votes, and on TMDB a 7 from about 460 votes, while the critics' rating stands at 5.9 from 120 reviews, so audiences have responded to it more warmly than critics did.

- Director, screenwriter, and producer Zach Braff once spoke about the significance of toy trains in his own childhood and the influence they had on this film. He once had a toy train in his basement that Braff constantly played with, found comfort in, and spent a lot of time with. The train was simpler than the one belonging to Morgan Freeman’s character in the film, but in both cases, the toy soothed the owner and helped them escape into a world of their own dreams and fantasies.
