Marge is a socially isolated teenager struggling with the pressures of her suburban high school. After a tragic accident claims the life of her mother, who was her primary source of support, Marge seeks out her estranged father to avoid living with her conservative grandparents. Her father, a former professional soccer star, now lives in rural Mexico, where he spends his time as a beach bum and coaches a local women's soccer team. As they reconnect, the two must navigate their unexpected relationship to heal from the past and build a future together.
