Aisha

Aisha is a drama about a young Nigerian woman seeking asylum in Ireland. While navigating a complex bureaucratic system to secure a permanent home and reunite with her mother, she struggles to maintain her dignity in the face of potential deportation. During her stay at an asylum-seeker center, she develops a close bond with Conor, a guard and former prisoner. Their growing relationship is tested as the uncertainty of her legal status increases.

The film was written and directed by Frank Berry, marking the first of two listed works in his career before he directed The Lost Children of Tuam in 2026. Letitia Wright stars as Aisha Osagie, appearing alongside Josh O'Connor, who plays Conor Healy.
