A notorious serial killer is captured in Berlin after a violent police operation, and the officer who led the arrest is celebrated for it. Far from the city, in a small rural community, a local policeman named Michael Martens is still haunted by the unsolved murder of a young girl close to his family. Convinced the imprisoned killer may be responsible, he travels to Berlin to question him, and the two enter a psychological contest in which the prisoner seems to hold the advantage.

Christian Alvart wrote and directed Antibodies, his first feature, which he followed with Pandorum and Case 39 in 2009 and later with Banklady, Nick: Off Duty, Cut Off and Don't. Get. Out! The film stars Wotan Wilke Möhring as Martens, André Hennicke as Gabriel Engel, Heinz Hoenig as Commissioner Seiler, Norman Reedus as Schmitz, Ulrike Krumbiegel as Rosa Martens and Nina Proll as Lucy. It was produced by Theo Baltz and Boris Schönfelder for Kinowelt Filmproduktion and MedienKontor Movie, on a budget of about 2 million dollars.
