A retired Mumbai police commissioner, Prakash Rathod, looks back on the case that stayed with him longest. On an ordinary afternoon, a man he does not know telephones him with a warning: bombs have been planted around the city, and they will go off unless four prisoners are set free. The caller offers proof by pointing to a device placed inside a police station, and the hours that follow turn into a search for someone who seems to be everywhere and nowhere.
Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the film, his first as director, ahead of Baby, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Sikandar Ka Muqaddar. Anupam Kher plays Rathod, with Naseeruddin Shah as the anonymous caller. Jimmy Shergill, Deepal Shaw, Aamir Bashir and Rohitashv Gour are among the credited cast of twenty. Ronnie Screwvala, Shital Bhatia and Anjum Rizvi produced it for UTV Motion Pictures, and it runs 103 minutes.
The film was made for about 1 million USD and took roughly 4 million USD worldwide, a strong return on its cost. On TMDB it holds 7/10 from 375 votes, suggesting a small but appreciative audience.
