Rebel

Kamal leaves Belgium for Syria with the intention of assisting war victims, but he is forced into a militia and becomes trapped in Raqqa. While he is away, his younger brother Nassim is targeted by radical recruiters who use the promise of a family reunion to lure him. Their mother, Leila, struggles to prevent her youngest son from following the same path as his brother.

This action drama and thriller was co-directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Meul. This production is the fourth collaboration between the two directors, following Black, Gangsta, and Bad Boys for Life. The film features Aboubakr Bensaïhi in the lead role as Kamal, alongside Lubna Azabal, Tara Abboud, and Amir El Arbi. Produced by companies from Belgium, Luxembourg, and France, the movie has a runtime of 135 minutes.
