Ponniyin Selvan: Part II

Set in the tenth century, Ponniyin Selvan: Part II continues the story of the Chola dynasty as it faces a widening conspiracy. The Pandya assassins regroup and join forces with the Rashtrakutas and other enemies of the Cholas, leaving the Chola princes to confront a coalition bent on destroying their house. At the same time, word spreads that Ponniyin Selvan has died at sea, the loyalty of the powerful Pazhuvettarayar is thrown into doubt, and the fate of Aditha Karikalan remains bound to the vengeful Nandini. Vikram plays Aditha Karikalan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Nandini, Jayam Ravi plays Arulmozhi Varman and Karthi plays Vanthiyathevan, with Trisha Krishnan and Prakash Raj also starring in a large ensemble.
