Miami Magma

A volcanologist named Antoinette Vitrini believes a dormant volcano exists beneath Miami. Her theories are confirmed when an offshore drilling operation causes an explosion, releasing magma and threatening the city with a catastrophic eruption. Alongside her sister, Antoinette attempts to stop the dangerous drilling activity and prevent a disaster, while the company responsible for the project tries to hide the severity of the situation.

Directed by Todor Chapkanov, this action and science fiction TV movie was released in 2011. It is the second film in the director's career, following Monsterwolf and preceding True Bloodthirst. The film features a cast including Rachel Hunter, Brad Dourif, Stacey Asaro, Griff Furst, J.D. Evermore, and Crystal Rivers. It was produced by Bullet Films and written by Declan O'Brien.

The film received mixed responses from viewers. On TMDB, it holds a rating of 5.9/10 based on 88 votes. However, it has a lower rating of 3.2/10 on IMDb from 1,100 votes.
